Bio
Good day, my name is Kristin and I would love to expand my career and personal growth by walking alongside you in your education journey. Currently I am a primary ELA and Spanish middle school teacher, but have taught elementary and high school as well, with the bulk of my career as a secondary educator. I consider myself a jack of all trades; I love to create. I created and launched my own elective course called 'character development'. I admire all things literature and think quite abstractly, which makes me unique in my field. Soon after I began my teaching career, I realized that students need more than the passing 'on' of knowledge. On the contrary, connection and inspiration are core to successful knowledge transfer. My philosophy is connection first, knowledge second, and as a result, an authentic student experience. This is what equals a well-rounded education.

In addition to over a decade of teaching experience across primary and secondary learners in a plethora of subjects from Spanish to Photography, Character Development to Composition, I am constantly seeking opportunities for growth in my career. I am a certified teacher with the following specifications: ELA grades 5-12 and Spanish grades K-12. I hold a bachelor's degree in Communications, am currently working on my Master's of Education, and continue to teach in every environment that I can.
