Hello! Fortunately, online learning has opened new doors in education! I am excited to be the absolute best tutor in mathematics in order to help you become confident and successful! I have experience in a regular classroom setting as well as teaching and tutoring virtually. My philosophy of education is that all students are capable learners, can accomplish their academic goals and have fun at the same time. I am flexible and break down topics in ways so that each student understands. I strive to instill confidence and focus on learning and growth rather than always seeking the "right" answer. I'm committed to creating a safe online learning environment where students can freely ask questions and not be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are a part of learning! I am very excited to share my passion for mathematics with Stride students! Let's do this!
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from Rowan University and have a standard teaching certificate as well as special education certification. My teaching experience began over 25 years ago. During this time, I taught 7th and 8th grade math, pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1 prior to retiring in January 2023. During my teaching career, I received my Master's Degree in Middle School Mathematics from Walden University. I have tutored both in person and online, coteaching and independently.
