My name is Lisa Brown and I can't wait to work with you! My greatest passion is supporting and helping students succeed. I specialize in helping you see the best in yourself and building your math confidence. As a math teacher, my greatest asset is the ability to help learners feel at ease with math. Once a safe space is created, the learning can begin. My calm and patient approach makes it easy to support and encourage your growth. Helping you progress in all areas of your development is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive, fun environment. Personally, I enjoy outdoor adventures with my family. We have 2 cats, 1 dog, and a turtle. I also love cooking, reading, and music. I am currently certified in Mathematics (7th-12th grades) and have 21 years of teaching experience. As a tutor, I have successfully worked with grades K-12 for over 15 years. I hold a B.S. degree in Chemistry and a Master's degree in Secondary Math Education. I specialize in all areas of mathematics including the following: Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, and Geometry. I'm also a highly successful test prep tutor and have extensive ACT and SAT preparation experience.
