Bio
Welcome! I am a passionate experienced math educator, and I enjoy helping students understand math. I believe teaching should start from the student's current level, respecting their unique interests and needs, and creating personal learning paths and goals to help them progress. Learning should be FUN so I engage students with the I do, we do, you do learning style. First, I model solving a problem, then the students and I model and finally, the student models a problem. I offer a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I incorporate technology into math, so lessons are interactive and interesting and I provide feedback to all learning parties to help communicate progress and make additional goals. I look forward to working with you!
Teacher Specialization
With a Master's Degree in Teaching with an emphasis in Math (2005) and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (1994), I have been teaching and tutoring math for 17 years. I taught intermediate and middle school math classes in the public school system and have tutored both in-person and on-line math sessions for grades 3 through College Algebra. I love math and share this passion with my students.
