Bio

Hi! My name is Liz Lillibridge. I currently live in West Michigan with my husband and three sons. My family enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling the USA together. We live on a hobby farm and have lots of different animals that we enjoy taking care of and showing at our local fair. I decided to join the Stride tutoring team to help more students reach their full academic potential. I believe all students have the capability to learn anything their heart desires. I have two rules in my classroom. The first is that you cannot say you do not know something, you have to say, "I do not know it, YET!" You also have to show GRIT. Sometimes concepts take a while to understand, but if you have perseverance, you can reach any goal you set for yourself. I also believe that self-reflection in addition to a teacher's guidance is the best evaluation tool out there. My goal as a tutor is to help you reach your educational goals by facilitating your understanding of topics you may be struggling with.

Teacher Specialization

I am a certified secondary science teacher. I spent seven years in the brick-and-mortar setting and also coached High School Science Olympiad and was the advisor for our Student Council. I have two years of experience tutoring students of all ages, but specifically preparing high school students and adults for their GED examination. Last year I made the switch to the virtual classroom and currently work as a math interventionist for a Stride school in Michigan. I love teaching math and science!
