Hello! I'm Lori Kutilek. I'm a veteran educator with a passion for pursuing progress in every aspect of life. I believe everyone has the potential to learn and understand if given the right motivation and tools and I'm enthusiastic about helping you believe it too! I love bringing ingenuity and innovation into my teaching with whole brain learning using rhyme and movement to help concepts stick. My specialties include elementary reading and math and tailoring my instruction to your specific needs. Every student is unique and your instruction should be too! During my years in the classroom, I was nominated for the Good Apple Teaching Award and the BEST Teacher Award. Teacher Specialization
In 1987, I earned my BS in Elementary Education and taught grades K, 2-5th grades for 29 years. In 2006 I earned my MS in Curriculum and Instruction with Technology. For 6 years I served as Director of Teaching, Learning, Curriculum and Assessment-leading professional development and providing instructional coaching for PK-5th teachers as well as leading the 3-12th grade in data analysis of required state testing. Since retirement in 2022, I tutor PK-5th grade students.
