Hello there! Welcome to my page, and I am so glad you stopped by! My name is Machelle Dodds. I live in North Carolina with my husband and our 13 chickens! Besides tending chickens, I enjoy music, playing piano, and cooking. Now, for all of us chicken lovers, "chicken math" is a real thing, but I'd like to help you learn real math!! I LOVE math, and if you aren't so fond of math, that's okay!! I would love to help you do even better in math than you think you can. My goal is to keep learning as simple as possible. I think students learn best when concepts are simplified. I believe assisted practice is the key to learning math concepts. My aim here is growth and not perfection! I have taught middle school or high school math for 14 years. I have had experience in both the private school setting and also the public school setting. I am certified in the state of North Carolina to teach grades 6-12 mathematics. I have taught Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus, Calculus, 7th grade math, 8th grade math, Foundations of Math 1, Integrated Math 1, Integrated Math 2, Integrated Math 3, and Advanced Functions and Modeling.
