My name is Martine Lawver and I am ready to provide you with the skills you need to achieve academic success. My tutoring style is very visual and incorporates patience, practice, and proven strategies while developing relationships with my students. I have experience at all elementary levels but my favorite subject is math. I like to view math problems as a puzzle. You just need to put all the pieces in place to solve them. I recently moved to a rural town from a large city with my husband and 3 kids in order to start a backyard homestead and live a slower paced life. We have 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, and 3 beehives. My husband and I also own a bee removal business. We put on bee suits and cut open floors, ceilings, and walls to remove the unwanted bees, honeycomb, and honey. One of these hives can have thousands of bees. So far, the most I have been stung in one day is 11 times. It can be dangerous work but I love a challenge and look forward to helping you conquer yours.

I am a University of Florida graduate and am certified to teach Elementary Education grades K-6. I have taught for over 11 years and have experience teaching all elementary levels. Most of my teaching career has been in 5th grade but I especially love teaching 5th grade math. I also have experience working with students with disabilities including my son who is on the Autism Spectrum. I currently homeschool my own kids, teach English to Chinese students, and tutor locally.
