5 + A = orange squares. Wait...what? Does math ever feel like that? One of the main roadblocks to success in math is the feelings of failure it can bring, but this does not have to happen. My approach is to build your confidence by going back to the last time when you felt confident in math. I believe that good tutoring also starts with building relationships...that leads to confidence. Here's a bit about my background: I moved to Kennewick, WA in late 2021 with my wife and four children. I have lived all across the United States, from Pennsylvania and the Carolinas; to California, Oregon, and Washington. In my free time, I enjoy table games, sports, and writing/performing original music.
Teacher Specialization
I completed my Bachelor degree in middle grades mathematics and English at Western Carolina University in 2008. In 2015, I completed a Master's degree in educational technology from Walla Walla University. My experience includes 13 years teaching high school math, English, computer literacy, and media in southern Oregon along with 3 years teaching computer applications at the Insight School of Washington (a Stride K12 school).
