Bio
I believe in connecting academic work to student personal interests and a way to understand how material helps students be successful outside and inside the classroom. I credit my first teachers for helping me open doors of opportunity in my life and I want to share those tools with students so they can experience the success I have in life.
Teacher Specialization
I work at a public school teaching Intensive Reading to middle school students, Grades 6 through 8. I started my third year of teaching and enjoy working with students who genuinely want to be stronger students. I have also tutored students in reading and enjoy working with my teaching peers in English Language Arts. I am certified in Englsh Language Arts, Social Science and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and have my Reading Endorsement.
