Bio
Welcome! I am a lifetime learner, and it is my goal to create the will to be a lifetime learner in all my students. I instill a love of learning, that learning can and should be fun, and to own that fun. Without learning and knowledge, true success cannot be achieved. Student focus is to learn and grow as individuals, be the best they can be, and be happy additions to our society and world. I've taught students of all ages, cultures, and socio-economics, from third grade through adult, tutored all subjects to eighth grade, and tutored English reading/writing to college students and adults. Student centered lessons focus on their interests, lives, and are fun, diverse, and interactive, . My undergraduate degree is in International Business and Master’s degree is in Teaching. I hold teaching certifications in California and Illinois (Retired). I have won Teacher of the Month awards numerous times and was a 4th-grade department chair and middle school science department chair.
