Bio
Hi! My name is Nadine Baroud. I am a certified Math teacher for grade 4-12. First, I am here to help my students develop a conceptual understanding of how math has meaning in a broader context. Second, I want my students to walk away with greater confidence in their own mathematical abilities, better equipped to successfully approach math in the future. My goal is to increase student achievement in math, enhance students' problem-solving skills in a positive learning environment. I aim in helping my students overcome math anxiety, building confidence in students who struggle in math and encouraging them to take ownership of their learning by using various teaching methods. I like to get to know my students, laugh with them and make them believe that they can succeed and get over math anxiety!
Teacher Specialization
I am currently a mathematics state-certified teacher teaching middle School mathematics in Maryland. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering but my passion for math and teaching led me to pursue my dream. I became a teacher by training with more than 7 years of in-class, online, and private tutoring experience. My certification content area in Maryland is in Mathematics for Grades 4-12. I also hold a Michigan Mathematic Certificate in the content area of Mathematics for 6-12.
