Bio

Hi! I'm Mrs. Bain! I'm a former Florida girl currently living in Texas with my husband and 4 children. I've been teaching math for many years and I am passionate about helping students succeed in an online environment. My philosophy on learning is that you only remember 10% of what you HEAR, but you remember 80% of what you DO. I create fun, interactive math lessons that get you DOING math, not just sitting behind a screen and listening to a lecture. My goal is to help you with whatever you are immediately struggling with, while also addressing any past math concepts that are keeping you from being successful. You took the first step by signing up for tutoring, let me help you with the rest! I am committed to making my classroom a supportive and safe environment for you to learn and succeed. I was named Teacher of the Year last year for being an outstanding teacher. Stick with me and I promise I will do everything possible to help you be successful in your math course.

Teacher Specialization

I am certified in math grades 8-12. I teach Algebra at my current school and consider myself an expert of the Texas Algebra STAAR. I've also helped tutor students in math in grades 6-8 for many years.
