Hi, my name is Mrs. Pergerson. I love to encourage academic excellence and nurture the intellectual growth of my students. My teaching philosophy is that education is not just about transferring information but about empowering students to love learning, think critically, solve problems, and become lifelong learners. I work to tailor my methods to suit students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I love teaching, writing, helping others, traveling and learning about others' cultures, sewing, cooking, and being in nature. My favorite qualities I like about myself are my patience, determination, and my love for learning and teaching. I am so excited to meet and work with all my future students and parents.
Teacher Specialization
I have over 26 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grade and tutored in all grades. I also homeschooled my awesome now-adult children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master's in Educational Leadership and Policy, and I'm working on a PhD. I value creating learning experiences that develop academic skills, are enjoyable and transformative, and where my students can thrive.
