Bio
My name is Shekeem Vaughn (Mrs. Vaughn). This is my 7th year in teaching. My teaching Philosophy is to have student engaged and learning in all aspects of teaching. I want students to take with them the concepts we go over and be able to master them and understand what they are learning. I believe in relating concepts back to real world to make them more relatable to students. Learning should be interactive and experiencing. That is the best way to learn is to apply what we are learning to everyday life.
Teacher Specialization
I have experience in the curriculum from all elementary grade levels as well as sixth grade material as well. I was also a tutor for reading and math. I have taught 4th grade for 7 years. I have tutored for 4th grade, kindergarten, and first grade during my teaching career. I have a Bachelor in Liberal Arts with a minor in education and science, Also, a Masters in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified to teach PreK-6th grade in Math, Reading/Language Arts, Science, & Social Stud.
