My name is Tabetha Frick. I have a unique approach to teaching. I call it my, "I don't care how you get to the mall just get there because this girl needs some Panda Express" philosophy. This simply means there are lots of ways to learn. My job is to help you find the best way for you. I am here to help you learn how to learn. I know that sounds funny but you can ask Alexa, Siri, or YouTube to give you information. My job is to show you how to use that information. I believe we won't get any learning done if we don't build a relationship first. I want to get to know you and find your likes and dislikes. This helps me make lessons more engaging and meaningful. So, I will start. I am an artist who loves to sketch and paint. I have a service dog named Meshach who goes with me everywhere. An interesting fact about me, I was in JAWS 3. Now it is your turn. I can't wait to learn about you.
Teacher Specialization
I have over 13 years of experience in education. As a Special Education Teacher, I have taught in classes ranging from kindergarten through high school. I was also a College Professor where I taught Special Education Teachers to become Special Education Teachers. I have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and a Master's degree from Concordia University. I completed all but my dissertation for a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University.
