Hello! Welcome to my profile. I love math, but understand if you don't. My goal during tutoring sessions is to build confidence and ease math anxiety. I strive to keep our sessions a safe place to make mistakes and celebrate success. My teaching approach is that we work together to help you feel more confident in the material and not just to get through some problems.

For the last 6 years I have been a School Counselor for grades K-12 at a Stride school. Prior to counseling I spent almost 20 years as a middle and high school math teacher. I have taught in public and private schools in person as well as online. I have my Bachelors degree in elementary education with certifications in math and computer studies for grades 5-9. I also have my Masters in School Counseling. I was named Stride's new teacher of the year in 2018.
