Welcome! My name is Tangelica and I have been a teacher for 20 years. I am also a parent of 4. Learning is NOT one size fits all and many students simply need a little more support and encouragement to bridge learning gaps. Classroom teachers have many students and can't possibly work 1:1 or in small groups with them all. My goal is to work with your student(s) to bridge that gap academically, but also to gain confidence in their learning abilities. I work with students of all levels and abilities, including English Language Learners, students with IEPs and 504s, and students with interrupted formal education. My goal is to help all students reach their full potential and gain the skills and confidence to successfully continue to their next level.

I have obtained a BA in English, CA teaching credential in English, and a Masters in Crosscultural Education. Throughout my college years, I tutored students and worked as a private homeschool teacher. Once I finished my education, I began teaching full time. I have 19 years of experience as a full-time ELA, ELD, and reading teacher in public schools as well as 7 years of experience mentoring new and experienced teachers. I have several years of experience teaching & tutoring online as well.
