As a You Make a Difference award winner, a seven-time nominee for Teacher of the Year, and the Highly Effective Teacher designation, my students not only feel supported and grow tremendously academically with individualized, targeted instruction, but they also feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and know how much I care about their emotional well-being. As a yoga teacher, I love to add movement and breathing techniques into my lessons. As a sports fan and music-lover, I incorporate the use of tactile and real-world learning techniques and songs into my lessons. No matter your learning style, I'm your gal! Teacher Specialization
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Master's Degree in Elementary Education (K-8). I specialize in teaching math and reading for grades 2-7. Not only have I taught for 11 years, but I was a Mentor Teacher for two years followed by a Master Teacher (instructional coach) for Special Education Teachers, 3-6 Grade Teachers, and Special Area Teachers for two years. Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of every student is my specialty!
