Bio
I believe all students can learn. I try to break down information and processes into steps and seek understanding, not just memorization. I keep teaching fun and light but focused. I tend to start with vocabulary so that we can better communicate about the content in front of us. Then, I tend to do walkthroughs or practice problems. My goal with teaching science is to anchor one major example that you can pull understanding from and apply it to other situations. This should make recall and application easier. I know you can learn and do this and we can have some fun doing it.
Teacher Specialization
I have a degree in Biology, a minor in Geography, and a master's in Education. I have taught for ten years from 6th grade through 12th, including IB (similar to AP) courses. I have also worked as a field ecologist dealing with water and fish populations.
