Bio

Hello! My name is Tory H., but my students call me Mrs. H. I truly have a passion for teaching and am so blessed to say that I love my job. I have two children of my own and have taught virtually almost my entire career so I know what it takes to keep students engaged. I believe that students learn best when their individual and unique needs are met and skill sets are challenged. My goals for tutoring are that students walk away believing in themselves and their abilities. During our sessions I will focus on meeting the standards in a way that students find engaging through the use of technology and interactive opportunities. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with students with varying backgrounds and personalities from all over the country. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Teacher Specialization

I have taught 4th grade for Stride since 2020. Prior to teaching for Stride I taught English as a Second Language to elementary students, virtually for three years. Teaching virtually prepared me perfectly for teaching at Stride and I can honestly say that I love my job. I have taught all content areas including; English Language Arts (reading and writing), math, science, and social studies.
