Bio
I am a certified Math and Science teacher in the state of Oregon. I particularly enjoy working/ helping with students who need extra support. During my preparation of lessons, I tried to incorporate real-life examples that students could relate to their everyday living so they could have a better understanding of math concepts and also give them increased motivation, and interest to learn math. It was a rewarding for me to hear when the struggling students would grasp new math concepts. I am a Japanese native and speak Japanese fluently. I love watching anime! I had opportunities teaching Japanese culture to my students. I have enjoyed the sharing my life experiences with the students. Prior to pursuing my teaching career, I have worked at various international trading companies for many years and have enjoyed working with people with diverse cultural backgrounds and speak different languages. Don't worry too much! You will improve your Math skills if you are willing to learn with me.
Teacher Specialization
5 years Math teaching experience in the middle school and high school. Taught 6th, 7th ,8th grade Math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Financial Algebra, etc for 6 to 12th graders. I have also taught Science for 1 year at a middle school level. 2 years for online teacher/tutor. *I am a Japanese native and speak Japanese fluently. Although I do not have experience in teaching Japanese, I will be able to teach Japanese for beginner. I hold B.S. in Math, Physics, Economics, and MBA.
