Hi, I am Ty Fontenot and I love to exercise; craft,create and design. I love spending time with my 9-year-old daughter and our little doggy Carly. I chose to become a tutor because I love to help my students be successful and reach their full potential. I am big on building genuine relationships with my students so that they know that I care about them and their success. My philosophy is that “People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care”. I believe that if students know that you care about them that they will want to learn and work hard. I feel that students need a fun, structured, and inviting atmosphere to cultivate their learning. I want students to feel comfortable to ask questions and to not be afraid to say the wrong answer, because that is why we are here to build your knowledge of understanding so that you can confidently complete your needed tasks.

I have 20 years of experience in education working at all levels, but most of my time has been at the Middle school and High school level. Grades K-5 Language Arts Reading Math Science Social Studies Grades 7-12 Content areas: 7-8th grade Math, 7-8th grade English, Co-Teach 7-8th grade Science and Social Studies Co-Teach High School level all academic areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies)
