Hello, my name is Vincenzo Rizzo (vin-chen-zo) and I love helping others learn. I enjoy playing all kinds of board games and spending time with friends and family. I believe that students learn best when they are interacting with the material. We learn something new everyday through interactions, whether it is through playing a game, taking notes from your favorite book, or having a conversation. My goal with tutoring is to help you in the best way I can to reach your goals. I will work along with you so that I know what we need to focus on, and what resources will be the best at reaching those goals. Building a positive relationship with students is very important to me because it lets us understand each other, and what we need in order to get the most out of our time together. This will also help me in creating a supportive and inclusive environment because I can use what I learn about you to make learning fun and relatable to the real world.
Teacher Specialization
I have done one year teaching between a 2nd and 5th grade classroom, and two years of tutoring 6th and 7th grade. I have taught almost all subjects, but find math to be my favorite subject to teach and it has been what I've been teaching the past two years tutoring. I have each my teaching degree through Oakland University and appeared on their president's list. I have been teaching others ever since high school, and I am confident that I can explain any math concept in a way you can understand.
