Hello! My name is Abbey Alderman and I can’t wait to embark on a journey of learning together! A few fun facts about me are that I live near the beautiful beaches in Florida along the Gulf of Mexico, I play several musical instruments, and am a devout Florida State Seminoles fan. I am a seasoned educator specializing in a range of grades and subjects at the elementary level. Throughout my experience, I have always led with the mindset of how I can make a positive impact on the next generation. I believe in fostering a growth mindset in my sessions so that students are empowered to watch themselves progress on their unique and individual paths. I’m passionate about creating an environment where students are respected and valued every day! Providing detailed feedback is key to help set a positive trajectory on a path to success. Teacher Specialization
I have five years of experience teaching a range of elementary grades and subjects. Specifically, I have taught first, third, fourth, and fifth grades specializing in reading, phonics, math, grammar, science, and history. I earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education from the Florida State University. My background as a teacher has set me up to be a successful tutor so that I can contine making a positive impact on the lives of students every day!
