Hi! I have a love for learning and Science and use humor a lot while teaching! Before I went back to school to get my teaching certificate I received my degree in Environmental Resource Management and worked as an Environmental Consultant. I am an enthusiastic teacher and really believe that building relationships with students is necessary to build trust and open the doors to learning. Once the relationship is developed and I learn how you, the student, best learns then together we can use so many different methods to strengthen your understanding of the topic. I have used modeling, discussion, diagrams, short videos, "hands on" experiments, and project based learning to deliver content and deepen your understanding of the subject. I live in northern Michigan with my 8 year old son. We both love skiing and snowboarding in the winter and anything related to water in the summer. I look forward to working with you!

I have taught a total of 14 years, 10 in brick and mortar and 4 online with Stride/K12. I have taught Biology (8 years), AP Biology (2 years), Earth (13 years) and Physical (7 years), Chemistry (2 years), Anatomy & Physiology (11 years) , & Environmental Science (2 years). When I taught in brick and mortar I was typically teaching 5 different science classes per year. I have a B.S in Environmental Resource Management and a Science Teaching Certificate for grades 6-12.
