Hello, I am Ms. Dempsey. Online learning, by far, is the absolute best teaching and learning opportunity I’ve experienced and 4 years of virtual learning is just the beginning. My philosophy of education is grounded with inspiration. Zig Ziglar said it the best way I can I ever describe: “If you’re NOT willing to learn, NO ONE can help you. If you are DETERMINED to learn, NO ONE can stop you.” I instill this into all of students because “you are that smart! And, I am that good!” Teaching math since 1999 is my passion. It’s my drive. What may seem so complicated can really be broken down into something so simple. Let’s go!
Teacher Specialization
My teaching career launched in 1999 with a Master's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. I have been teaching and learning mathematics, with some Chemistry, for 24 years. SN: I only look like I'm 24??? Why, thank you!! I have been teaching virtually/remotely with Stride since September 2019. Prior to joining the online learning community, I taught middle and high school mathematics in brick-and-mortar.
