Hello! My name is Katie Hansen and I've been a teacher for 19 years. I live in Kansas with my husband and two children. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, running, being on the lake, and spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy helping students where they are and help them to realize their own personal, full protentional. I encourage students to just try, even if they makes mistakes, as that is how we truly learn and grow! I enjoy getting to know my students as people and learners. I believe in making connections with my students in order to spark their interests and abilities. Through tutoring, I hope to help students practice and perfect skills that they may need a little more help or practice with. I have been a teacher for 19 years. I taught 3rd grade for 14 years (all subjects) in a Brick and Mortar school and I'm in my 5th year of teach 6th grade math and science online for Kansas Virtual Academy. I have my undergrad in Elementary education and am certified to teach K-8th grade. I also have a Masters in Education. I have tutoring experience with 3rd graders in math and reading.
