Hello and thank you for considering me to be your tutor. My core philosophy and practice are to provide engaging, relevant learning experiences with positivity, respect, and care. My students excel with highly individualized, creative tutoring that corresponds to their interests and needs. Unlocking student potential is an art that I have practiced for 15 years. I prioritize student engagement to motivate learners toward success in school while having fun. I employ standards tracking and ongoing formative assessments to make sure students are effectively supported in their current studies. I teach / tutor with academic rigor and reinforcements to complement all my students' strengths and challenges. Fostering a love of learning and guiding students toward success in all their endeavors is my goal. I'm so excited to be part of the Stride tutoring team and I look forward to working with you soon!

I am a licensed elementary teacher in California and Oregon with a master’s degree in music. I have taught PreK, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades in brick-and-mortar classrooms and 2nd grade in a virtual classroom. I have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in math, writing, reading, English as a second language, digital arts, music composition, and performance. As a student teacher, I taught every grade from kindergarten through 8th. I have been a substitute teacher for all grades.
