Hello! My name is Mrs. H and I have taught and tutored both middle school and high school math courses for over 18 years. Prior to switching careers to become a teacher, I was a chemical engineer for a Fortune 100 manufacturing company. I have always loved math and science, and I enjoy being able to share my love of math with students every day. As a secondary education teacher, I strongly believe that fostering critical thinking skills is at the heart of what we do in education. I am committed to giving students the tools they need to see their own value, analyze information and situations, and effectively solve problems. I see my role as not only helping them work through their questions but encouraging students to problem solve and to use what they know to work through the problems. I think it is important to build a relationship with students to understand how they learn best and what I can do to help them the most in understanding those challenging concepts.

I have experience teaching Mathematics Grades K-12 and English Grades K-9. I have more than 18 years of experience, which includes 16 years in online learning. My degrees include: BS degree in chemical engineering, MBA and a Masters in Educational Leadership. Prior to my academic career, I worked as an engineer and operations manager for a multinational consumer goods company.
