Bio
Based on my own experiences going through school, I have grown to love learning and I have a passion for helping students not only accomplish their goals, but grow in confidence and learn to love the process as well! I love a challenge and will stop at nothing to give my students the resources to become the best version of themselves. When I am not teaching, I can be found exploring trails and enjoying the beautiful Colorado views with my dog, practicing my guitar skills, reading a good book, or making up my own story in a cozy corner in my home. I am a firm believer in a growth mindset and positive attitude. I encourage my students to ask as many questions as they can. If I don't know the answer, I will research it so that we can all continue learning together!
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts - Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Elementary Education. I have been teaching/tutoring students with various learning needs and/or disabilities for over 7 years. I taught 4th grade for about 5 years and Kindergarten for 1 year. I have special training in and focus on students who speak English as a second language and a Reading Specialist endorsement from the state of Colorado.
