Hey there, students! I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with you this school year! I absolutely love teaching, and even more, getting students excited about learning. Math and reading are my absolute favorite subjects, and therefore I spend much of my free time finding various ways to make learning FUN and interesting. Because confidence is one of the most important components of academic achievement, my instructional approach is focused on confidence building by involving students in the learning process and tailoring instruction to fit their specific needs. The students that I work with often times tell me "Ms.Perry, that was actually fun!" Learning new concepts doesn't have to be difficult! Let's go have some fun learning and building confidence!
Teacher Specialization
I have a Bachelors and a Masters degree, as well as over 10 years experience tutoring students. I have worked in public education for over 7 years, and have served as a teacher, interventionist, and a math specialist. This experience has allowed me to hone in on different learning styles and techniques, and differentiate my instruction in order for each student to achieve maximum growth based on their particular needs.
