Bio

In the words of the late, great Steve Jobs, “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.” I have found great work in teaching students from all backgrounds and abilities and enjoy doing it. To my future students, I look forward to walking alongside you toward reaching your goal. My approach to teaching is purpose driven, being firm but kind, and patient. I speak Malay, Cantonese, and basic German. In my spare time, I build robots, experiment with ways to stump Chat GPT, and enjoy hiking.

Teacher Specialization

I found my purpose in teaching when my background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering was put to good use teaching 16- to 18-year-old students in Singapore. After relocating to the United States, I taught STEM to homeschooled middle and high schoolers in Pennsylvania. Currently, I instruct students at a private school in Arizona, catering to students who are on the autism spectrum, who are gifted with anxiety issues, and students who find regular school challenging.
