Bio
My name is Melissa Escobar. I am a mom to two wonderful children ages 16 and 11. I live with my husband, kids and 3 dogs in the great state of Texas. I ABSOLUTELY love teaching reading and writing. I have taught primarily in bilingual and dual immersion classroom settings. I love teaching students how to read and write. It brings me so much joy to help students fill in the gaps that may exist in their learning path in order to help them get back on track. I consider myself to be an expert in early literacy and I have the philosophy that ALL students can learn, and I'd love to help you achieve your academic goals! During my free time, I enjoy crocheting, playing games and watching movies and tv with my family. I also enjoying watching my son play baseball and doing crafts with my daughter.

I have been a teacher for 22 years. I have taught primarily in grades K-2, but have worked with students in grade 3-6 who need extra support with reading and writing. I am certified to teach English Language Learners develop their English skills as well as help English only speakers develop their Spanish language skills.
