Bio
Hi! I’m Miss Milli, and my goal is to make your tutoring experience effective and engaging, so that you soak up the knowledge you need to learn while still having fun! My educational philosophy is based on learner-centered instruction, and I like to get to know my students so that we can build rapport and have strong relationships, because this is also essential for effective learning! Active engagement in my virtual and in-person classrooms has made me an effective teacher, and I’ve won an award before for the songs I’ve used to engage students in the classroom. I enjoy the "aha" moments of learning, and I am a firm believer that math should never be boring! I love to read, and I am also an avid writer. I translate these skills to my teaching to help my students become better readers and writers too. (I am also a Spanish speaker, and I used to live in Colombia.) I'm a life-long learner, and I hope to help you become one as well! Teaching is my passion and I can’t wait to help you!
