Bio

Hello! My teaching approach is to use differentiation when instructing students. My classrooms are engaging and support individual needs. My goal as a teacher is for students to be successful learners. When approaching learning, I use various manipulatives, tools, and support materials that enable students to not only grasp the topic today but to remember what they have learned for future use. My goal is to make connections with students that enable us to have meaningful and successful sessions. My years have been spent schooling my children as well as teaching. I enjoy walking, hiking, biking, watching sports, and spending time with family. I chose to become a tutor because as students learn they develop lifelong skills for the future.

Teacher Specialization

My experience is K-12 in Special Education for 10 years. I have co-taught alongside general education teachers in elementary, middle, and high classrooms. In addition, my role has been in resource and self-contained settings. Teaching a wide range of disabilities in a brick-and-mortar setting as well as virtual, has prepared me in many subject areas. My degree is K-12 with an endorsement in Cognitive Impairment. Currently, I am taking classes toward my Masters in Virtual Education.
