Bio
I'm a math and science teacher who has a knack for breaking things down for anyone and everyone to understand. With a decade of experience under my belt, I've had the privilege of teaching in the dynamic world of grades 4, 5, 7, and 8. Teaching is not just my job; it's my passion and my heart's delight. I make it my mission to make learning fun, engaging, and memorable. I firmly believe that learning is a journey unique to each student. That's why I hold the philosophy that everyone learns at different rates and in different ways. It's like a treasure hunt, where I help each child discover their path to knowledge. I create an environment where every student's pace and style are celebrated and accommodated. In my free time, I love to be active outdoors hiking, kayaking, and chillin' on the beach. Animals are a passion of mine too. It doesn't matter whether they have fur, feathers, scales, or paws – I adore them all. Cats and birds hold a special place in my heart.
Teacher Specialization
I have a diverse range of tutoring and teaching experiences, including one year of tutoring English to Chinese-speaking children through VIPKid, ongoing English tutoring with a Ukrainian student via ENGin, and providing additional support to students in after-school extended day programs. I've also taken on coaching roles for various enrichment activities in after-school clubs, such as Rocketry, Garden Club, VEX IQ Robotics Club, and Science Olympiad, fostering a holistic approach to education.
